Matthew was named Honorable Mention All-District as a freshman, 2nd Team All-District as a junior, 2nd Team All-District as a senior as well as district Defensive MVP as a senior.

Matthew plans on attending college and playing baseball after graduation while pursuing a career as a game warden.
